YOLANDA BE COOL & DCUP - Soul Makossa (Money)
One of the most anticipated tracks finally arrive on Tiger records and it is destined to reach the highest positions on the club and mainstream charts. The fantastic duo Yolanda Be Cool from Australia and DCUP combine their forces for Soul Makossa (Money). The hit record is supported by strong package of remixes to play as often as you like in your dj set. The original mix is an excellent hybrid of disco house with funky basslines, irresistible infectious groove and excellent saxophone hook that will make you feel happy straight away along with the funny vocal samples. Soul Makossa has the word summer anthem written all over it. Next is Sharam Jey who transforms the original into a driving melodic deep prog house smasher with rolling grooves, funky basslines and superb electronic melodies.
The result is a hypnotic driving gem that you cannot get enough of it as it manages easily to grasp your attention and bring you on a happy state. Avon Stringer goes for a deeper underground version with tribal drums, wobbly playful basslines and great application of the saxophone riffs along with the stunning vocal lines. When you listen this record on radio you can only imagine fruity cocktails and coconuts. Sunshine remix is an awesome Latin tropical house affair with bouncy fat meaty grooves, swinging basslines and the vocal running throughout the whole track along with saxophone and funky guitar licks. Last Wongo remix is an exceptional underground version with minimal grooves, deep funky basslines, electro influences and heavy acid overtones on top. The saxophone is riff here and will do ist business amazingly well. Weird breakdown with clever echoes and top distortions makes this remix an underground favorite for sure. Top package with remixes to burn any dancefloor and keep radio stations happy with a lot of money from the advertisements.
